Selling my professor's house
Networking has always been an important tool for me, and I've always prided myself on keeping in touch with IBMers I used to work with and classmates from UofT. I also kept contact with certain profs of mine. In particular, marketing profs such as Chris Bovaird who I was a teaching assistant for, and Tim Richardson who was the e-arketing expert at UofT. They've always been great at giving advice and ofcourse, their knowledge about effective conveying a message and marketing yourself right helps me all the time.
One day, Tim asked me to be a guest speaker in his class, Marketing in the Information Age. Little did I know, I'd end up selling his house in Scarborough! It was quite an honour to end up working for him in this capacity. I'm pleased to say that Tim was able to get 100% of his asking price within one week!!!!! He and his wife Sylvia were very happy about that. Now they're out in the country and enjoying the peacefulnesss of a private acre in Uxbirdge!
Tim's website is a great asset. You can check it out at www.witiger.com
